By ANIFriday, July 2, 2010
MUZAFFARABAD - Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Marvi Memon has attacked the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led coalition government for compromising on the Kashmir issue under US pressure.
Interacting with media persons here, Marvi, who is also a member of National Assembly’s Kashmir Gilgit-Bltistan Committee, blamed the Gilani government for taking dictates from America.
“Kashmir issue has been put on backburner in the name of composite dialogue,” The News quoted Memon, as saying.
She said that the government was also deliberately ignoring sensitive issues like the river water sharing during talks with India.
Memon also criticized the cut in the held Jammu and Kashmir budget and said she would raise the issue in the National Assembly if the government fails to address it.(ANI)
