BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, (GaeaTimes.com)- Ned Kahn, an artist from the United States will soon present the Brisbane Airport with a sky high artwork. This piece of artistry will be seen in the car parking space of the airport’s domestic terminal reported the authorities of the Brisbane Airport. The eight storeyed piece of work has already attracted the attention of many in Australia and around the world even before it has been installed in its proper place.
The sky high architecture is however not the first piece of construction that Ned Kahn has given to the continent. His works can also be seen in the Questacon building located in the capital city of Canberra. According to the latest reports, the new sky high car parking facility will be constructed using several sheets of metal. The spokesman of Urban Art Projects and BAC, who are sponsoring the work of Ned Kahn says that as air passes through the metal plates, the sheets too move, thus giving teh effect of a moving wall. The waterways which cover many areas of Brisbane, supposedly inspired the American artist while he was designing the project.
The sky high car park is still in the stages of construction with airport authorities not issuing any particular date for its opening. All that we know at this point of time is that not only the sky high, but also several other upgradations are to be seen at the Brisbane Airport in the near future. For instance, the airport has plans to incorporate a larger number of aircraft in its domestic and international terminals.
