Centre approves scheme to deal with human trafficking

NEW DELHI - Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on Wednesday said the Central Government has approved a comprehensive scheme to strengthen law enforcement capability to deal with human trafficking.

Presenting the monthly report card of the Union Home Ministry, Chidambaram said the scheme includes:

1. Establishment of Integrated Anti-Human Trafficking Units (IAHTU) in 335 police districts.

2. Training of trainers, who would eventually train 10,000 police officers. (ANI)
