Villagers stage violent protest in Bahadurgarh over their leader’s killing

BAHADURGARH - Police had to be deployed in the Bahadurgarh area of Haryana on Tuesday after local residents of a village went berserk while staging a protest to draw authorities attention to their newly elected village head’s murder by four unidentified persons in a hospital.
The 32-year-old head of Nayangaon village, Rakesh Kala, took ill and was admitted to a local hospital.
Four unidentified person came in and shot him inside the hospital premises at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
The villagers took to the streets and demonstrated against Kala’s murder and vandalised hospital property. They also burnt a bust.
They also halted traffic and deflated tyres of several cars.
The police have been deployed in the area and the situation has been brought under control. (ANI)
