GURGAON, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Gurgaon Delhi Metro link was thrown open on Monday linking the Huda City Centre Qutab minar stretch spanning over 14 km. This will make the commute to Gurgaon much more comfortable and the travel time will be less compared to what it takes by the road. The commencement of the Gurgaon metro service has affected the plot prices belonging to the Huda or Haryana Urban Development Authority. The rates of properties in the developed localities in adjacent areas to Gurgaon have shot up significantly. In fact, when the Gurgaon metro link was in the making the real estate price in Gurgaon started increasing like never before.

The plot rates in areas belonging to Huda have shot up by approximately 40-55 percent. DLF city, Southcity and Sushant Lok are among the Huda sectors that have seen the plot price hike. The metro link passes through all these regions. A lot of real estate dealers are trying to utilize the Metro boom in Gurgaon that has affected the residents. A number of Dehlites are willing to sell off their properties in Delhi and buy land in Gurgaon, now that the metro has become, operational. The land price is rising even though the infrastructure is far from developed.

Haryana Urban Development Authority or Huda has also come into the headlines for a section of its plots that are being illegally used by farmers in the vicinity. The Huda officials have said they do not have any information on it. It was supposed to be used for setting up residential sectors but that could not happen.
