BP fund chief doubtful over strip club claim

Washington, June 22 (ANI): American attorney Kenneth Feinberg, who has been appointed administrator of the BP Deepwater Horizon Disaster Victim Compensation Fund, has said he is doubtful of claims for compensation by a strip club.
The “Mimosa Dancing Girls” strip club had petitioned for relief from the BP’s 20 billion dollars escrow fund, claiming that it lost business after the oil spill because Gulf fishermen can’t afford to come anymore.
“I’m dubious about that claim. I’m very dubious about that claim,” ABC News quoted Feinberg as saying.
“But I don’t want to prejudge any individual claim and I think we will study this and decide how attenuated claims can be that will be eligible or ineligible for compensation under this independent facility,” he stated. (ANI)
