SYDNEY - A woman sold her 13-year-old daughter to a truck driver for a load of diesel.
The woman, only known as NJJ, sold her daughter while in a drug-fuelled haze.
The Downing Centre District Court sentenced NJJ to a maximum nine years jail with a minimum 51/2-year term.
The mother and driver were found guilty of more than 30 charges, including committing an act of indecency, intercourse without consent and indecent assault upon a person under the age of 16.
The man was convicted of aggravated sexual intercourse with the girl at a number of occasions, reports The Sydney Morning Herald.
Judge Greg Woods said the woman consumed ice and cannabis and the man had taken advantage of her dependency.
“She pressured the daughter into sex with the man,” Judge Woods said.
“He must have known, however, that she was a desperate addict in the grip of a dependency and he took advantage of it. In return, it would seem, for some free motor fuel,” he added. (ANI)
