This initiative is being taken to attract more tourists to the mountain town which is famous for its scenic beauty.
The state ministry is trying to promote tourism in Himachal Pradesh. New bus routes in Mussourie-Dhalousie and Manali-Dehradun are going to be opened soon, the minister said. Along with the new buses and routes Himachal Pradesh is going to get as many as 5 additional national highways on the near future. The Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Shri Kamal Nath met with the state’s Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal in Delhi and after their meeting this news was flashed to the media.
The Himachal Pradesh CM argued that since the state has difficult topography it needs more roadways to connect better to the other parts of the country. As of now, the state has 11 national highways and soon enough the number will shot up to 16. This will reduce the pressure and congestion on the existing roads in the state, the CM said.
