American Rambo wanted to cut Osama’s head

NEW YORK - An American aiming to hunt down dreaded terror mastermind Osama bin Laden in a Rambo-style solo mission reportedly wanted to enter into Osama’s camp and walk away with his head.
Gary Brooks Faulkner, 51, was detained in northern Pakistan where security forces believe he was on a one-man quest to find and decapitate Osama in revenge for the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Faulkner, who has been dubbed “Rambo” and the “American Ninja,” was arrested with night-vision goggles, a pistol, dagger and 40-inch sword that may have been intended for use on Osama.
“He said he wanted to swoop into Osama’s camp, and cut his head off and walk away with it,” said pal Jim Sage, an intermittent employer of the Greeley, Colo.
Sage added that Faulkner had shipped the 40-inch sword to Pakistan in advance of his trip. “If he took the head, he’d have some proof. It’s like David when he chopped off Goliath’s head.”
Sage also said Faulkner three years ago “mentioned dreams that he was supposed to go without his foot touching the ground,” the New York Post reports.
Faulkner then went out and bought a hang-glider, which he intended to fly into Afghanistan, Sage said.
“He got it shipped to Israel” but then soon returned home after crashing the glider and injuring himself during a test run there, Sage said. (ANI)
