Yogendera Pratap Singh appointed first Indian Ambassador to Republic of Niger

NEW DELHI - The Government of Thursday appointed Yogendra Pratap Singh as the first Ambassador of India to the Republic of Niger.

“Shri Yogendra Pratap Singh, presently Consul general of India at Mandalay, has been appointed as the first Ambassador of India to the Republic of Niger. The earlier appointment of Shri Vinod kumar Sachdeva stands cancelled,” said a Ministry of External Affairs release today.

He is expected to take up his assignment shortly. (ANI)
