17 Chinese killed in mountain collapse

NEW DELHI - At least 17 people were killed after a mountain collapsed on their construction site in China’s Chengdu Province on Tuesday.

According to a Xinhua news agency report, six people are still missing after the collapse that occurred at around 1:25 a.m.in Pengta Town, Kangding County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.

According to the prefecture’s public emergency command center, seven were injured in the accident, among whom three were severely wounded.

Rescue work is still on. (ANI)
