AMRITSAR - Punjab Police Special Operation Cell (SOC) has seized a huge cache of heroin and ammunition along the India-Pakistan border in Amritsar District.
Addressing the media on Thursday, Additional Inspector General (AIG) Manminder Singh said that the police had recovered over two kilograms of heroin, six kilograms of RDX, 20 detonators and ten timer devices.
The haul is estimated worth over hundred million rupees in the international market.
Five persons have been arrested in this regard.
Manminder Singh said the seized heroin had been smuggled from Pakistan with Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) support.
“Definitely it is an attempt by Pakistan ISI, to start terrorism again,” Singh added. (ANI)
