Oz Hilton Hotel offers pamper package for singles to beat break-up blues

MELBOURNE - The pain of breaking-up can now be wiped away with just a visit to the Hilton Hotel in Australia, which offers singles a pamper package that includes 1kg of chocolate, chick flicks and ice-cream.
Come September, Melbourne’s Hilton Hotel at South Wharf will offer a night of pampering for the broken-hearted exactly like its Sydney-based operation.
For 314 dollars, the hotel provides 24 hours of chick-flicks, 1kg of chocolate, ice cream and consultation with a jeweller to have painful reminders of the relationship remodelled into something new.
Josh Roberts, the business development director at Hilton Sydney said the “break-up” package was launched on Valentine’s Day in recognition of the fact that the year’s most romantic day isn’t a happy one for some.
He said old hotel packages of “roses, chocolates and champagne” just did not reflect the dilemmas of modern relationships.
“Typically it has been girlfriends of the new singleton booking the break-up package to get their friend out of trackies and uggies, and back on the right track,” News.com.au quoted Roberts as saying.
“For others it has been an opportunity to celebrate the end of a bad relationship with some ‘me time’,” he said.
While the package is predominantly aimed at women, Roberts said there had been some interest from broken-hearted men too. (ANI)
