Drug-addict mum jailed for pressurizing daughter into having sex

MELBOURNE - A drug-addicted mother was jailed for at least five and a half years in jail for “permitting, encouraging and assisting” her 13-year-old daughter to have sex with a truck driver.
The woman and the man were found guilty in November 2009, of several criminal charges, including sexual and indecent assault of the girl on three occasions in NSW in 2004.
Judge Greg Woods said the woman forced the daughter into the sex acts as a result of her dependency on drugs.
“She pressured the daughter into sex with (the man),” News.com.au quoted Judge Woods as saying.
“He must have known, however, that she was a desperate addict in the grip of a dependency and he took advantage of it.”
The man was sentenced to at least eight years in jail and would not be eligible for release before October 2017, taking into account time already served. Apart from forcing her daughter to engage into the sex acts, the woman made her daughter watch herself and the man doing the same.
“It seemed that (the man) could have the daughter … on the condition that he not have penis-vagina intercourse,” Judge Woods said of the last meeting.
“Apart from that he could use her for his sexual satisfaction as he saw fit.” (ANI)
