Anand Sharma, Tak and Budhaniya file nomination for Rajya Sabha polls

NEW DELHI - Union Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma along with other Congress candidates Ashaq Ali Tak and Narendra Budhaniya filed their nomination papers on Monday for the biennial elections to the Rajya Sabha, which is to be held on June 17.

The biennial polls will be held for four seats, which are lying vacant after term completion of the terms of Najma Heptuallah, Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi, Narendra Budhaniya, Santosh Bagdodiya, and one bye poll of Rajya Sabha seat fell vacant after death of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader K K Valmiki.

Meanwhile, the BJP has announced the names of V P Singh and Ram Jethmalani, as Monday is the last date of filing nominations. (ANI)
