NEW YORK - The horse on which former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin and husband Todd put money at Belmont Stakes finished third.

They selected the horse named, First Dude, because the politician’s husband was known by the same name when she was in power.

“Of course, we love the name of the horse. And we’re excited First Dude’s gonna get a chance to race,” the New York Daily News quoted Palin, as saying before the race.

She added: “We’re excited to be here. We’re gonna bet on First Dude.”

Drosselmeyer came first, while Fly Down was runner-up. (ANI)
