World Environment Day 2010: Skoda Auto Initiative

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Today is being celebrated all over the world as the World Environment day and a number of Indian and MNC entities are doing their bit to make the planet a more green and suitable place to live in on this occasion. Earlier it was only the NGOs and government bodies that were involved in spreading awareness about keeping the environment clean and healthy but in recent times the Corporate entities have also joined the green bandwagon. SkodaAuto India started a Free Pollution Check Up program for the owners of the vehicles sold by it for two days starting from June 5th. It is the effort of the company to keep the country clean.
Skoda Auto has also adhered to the stringent emission norms in its latest and upcoming car models to keep the environment clean. The Free pollution check up program launched by it on the eve of World Environment Day 2010 is a laudable effort. The Skoda car owner can avail the benefit at all Skoda dealerships across the country. A Skoda India official said that the company has always stressed on the need to take care of the environment.
The World Environment Day 2010 initiative taken by Skoda Auto has got good response from the owners of the Skoda cars as expected. The checkup involves use of emission checking equipment to make the engine of the cars clean. The car owners would also be given sound tips to keep their vehicles up and running. The Skoda car owners who will bring their cars to the free check up program will be given a free PUC certificate by SIAM.
