PORT BLAIR, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- A killer crocodile of Andaman which killed an American student back in the saltwaters of Andaman has been finally captured by the forest officials. Reportedly, the only clue to the killing of the American student way back in the month of April was a video shot in a hand-held camera which finally helped the forest officials to capture the crocodile in Port Blair.

S. Senthil Kumar who happens to be the deputy forest conservator led his team of forest officers who managed to capture the killer crocodile from the beaches of Radhanagar. The deputy conservator also informed the media that the killer crocodile will be transported to Haddo mini zoo. Reportedly, the death of Sotheby’s Art Institute student Lauren Failla triggered panic among all American tourists visiting the islands of Andaman. Reportedly the young woman was on her vacation with her Indian boyfriend called Ajit Singh Chadda. They both went into the waters of Radhanagar Beach where Lauren Failla was killed by the 3.9 meter long Andaman saltwater crocodile. It was Ajit Chadda who was carrying his camera and the whole incident was recorded in his camera which was later recovered by the sea divers after the student was killed.

When Lauren Failla’s body was found by the divers, the Andaman crocodile was no where near the scene. The Andaman saltwater crocodile which happens to be a dangerous reptile ate up the right arm of the student and also damaged her face. S.R. Sunderrajan; a forest official told the media that the team had been trying to capture the Andaman crocodile for a long time but it gave them slip everytime they went near to the reptile.
