Sell your Porsche to buy parking space on Bondi Beach!

MELBOURNE - Parking space on the Bondi Beach in Sydney can come as expensive as a Porsche - two garage spots near the beach are expected to set a new expensive parking space record Down Under as they are auctioned off this week.
The garages, on the southern end of Bondi Beach, are expected to overshadow the sale record set by a 240,000dollar garage in North Bondi earlier this year.
The 13sq m properties, to be auctioned by Raine and Horne, are opposite Bondi Icebergs, a celebrity hotspot.
Icebergs club leases them as storage space for 9000dollars a year.
One of the spaces, on a 48-year lease, is expected to fetch 180,000dollars, while the second space, with a 78-year lease, can sell for more than 250,000dollars.
Raine and Horne Double Bay agent Ric Serrao said two clients were ready to pay 300,000dollars for a garage at North Bondi.
“They live in that pocket, but I don’t have anything to sell them; I wish I did,” News.com.au quoted him, as saying.
Serrao added: “It shows how valuable space has become.
“After that other garage sale, I had clients joking about putting their letter boxes on separate title and selling them.” (ANI)
