Malaysian Indian Congress chief Samy hints he may quit sooner

SEREMBAN - Malaysian Indian Congress chief S. Samy Vellu has hinted that he could step down from the MIC presidency earlier than the promised date of September 2011.

The Star quoted him as saying at the Negri Sembilan MIC annual general meeting that he would go earlier “if there are other responsibilities (official duties)” for him.

He pointed out that he had told Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak of his plan to leave politics. (ANI)
