Mangalore, May 26 (ANI): Three out of the eight survivors of the Air India’s plane crash were discharged from Mangalore’s S C S Hospital on Tuesday evening.

They were hospitalized after they managed to escape from the burning aircraft of Air India’s flight to Dubai to Mangalore that crashed just after dawn on May 22 and claimed 158 lives including six members of the crew.

After undergoing treatment, the survivors were given a farewell by the hospital staff.

There were eight survivors after the Boeing 737-800, which had come from Dubai with 166 people on board including six crewmembers, appeared to skid off the runway in light drizzle at the Bajpe airport in Mangalore.

All the passengers were Indian nationals.

The recovered bodies, many of them draped in white sheets, were charred beyond recognition. (ANI)
