Kuala Lumpur, May 25 (ANI): The Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) has sacked two central working committee (CWC) members who have joined the chorus seeking the resignation of party president S. Samy Vellu.
According to The Star, letters were sent to K.P. Samy in Klang and G. Kumar Aamaan in Tampin yesterday.
Petaling Jaya Selatan MIC division chairman V. Subramaniam and deputy MIC Youth leader V. Mugilan had earlier been sacked from the party.
The source said the four had been giving press statements and false impressions that there was a calamity in the party.
“The MIC constitution is clear - that no member can issue statements concerning the party, party affairs or any member of the party, which is detrimental to the party,” the source said.
Both have 14 days to appeal against their expulsion to the CWC. (ANI)
