KARACHI - The recent target killings and the widespread violence in Karachi is the handiwork of terror elements from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Swat valley, Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said.
Speaking during a meeting, which was called to review Karachi’s security situation, where over 20 people have been killed in a wave of target killings, Malik said miscreants would be dealt with all force and that no body would be allowed to disturb the peace of the city.
He said the recent wave of violence in Karachi was part of a larger conspiracy to destabilise the whole of Pakistan, The Daily Times reports.
It is worth mentioning here that violence and target killings saw a sudden increase in the financial capital of the country soon after all coalition parties vowed to work together to establish peace in the city as well as in the whole Sindh Province. (ANI)
