Iranian Ambassador releases anitque copy of Quran in Vadodara

Vadodara, May 24 (ANI): An antique copy of Quran, which damaged during heavy downpour in Gujarat’s Vadodara city in 2005, has been restored.
Iranian Ambassador to India Saiyed Mehdi Nabizadeh released the antique copy of Quran here on Sunday at the city’s Jama Masjid.
Written in Arabic language, this copy of Quran measures 1.90 metres in length and 1.4 metres in width. It’s divided into 15 sections, with each of them containing 80 pages.
And, each of the total 1,200 pages has 11 sentences written on it.
Mohammad Gosh had written this Quran about two centuries ago.
“It took us two-and-a-half years to do so (restoration work). The pages had stuck. It had become like a stone to open it, the ink had spread, the paper had torn, to stick the pages, the ink…but we are happy that finally it’s done,” said Mehndi Khaja Peeri, Second Secretary in the Iran Embassy.
