Two killed, 40 injured in Delhi Railway Station stampede

NEW DELHI - At least two people feared dead and over 40 people were injured in a stampede at the New Delhi Railway Station on Sunday.

The incident took place at platform numbers 12 and 13.

People were rushing to catch Patna bound Bihar Sampark Kranti Express.

Reportedly, the incident took place due to change of platform of the train at the last minute.

Civil Defence personnel and police conducted rescue operations.

According to police the injured have been rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Hospital.
