World Environment Day At Republic Of Rwanda

RWANDA, GaeaTimes.com)- The Republic of Rwanda shall host the World Environment Day 2010, on May 5 which will also witness the special ceremony called “Kwita Izina” where gorillas are given names. According to the RDB (Rwanda Development Board), the republic of Rwanda is proud to host two great events on June 5 namely World Environment Day and Kwita Izina.
RDB caters to ensure that the very best of the services are offered by the government of Rwanda both in the public as well as in private sectors. Reportedly World Environment Day 2010 also marks the 6th year of the other ceremony “Kwita Izina”. The officials told the media that Kwita Izina shall witness 11 baby gorilla at the scene who shall be named at the event on World Environment Day. The gorillas are said to the natural inhabitants of Kinigi which is located in the foothills of Mutsanze that falls in the North Province of the Republic Of Rwanda.
Anette Tamara Mbabazi who happens to be the media and events officer for Rwanda Development Board told the media that the Republic of Rwanda has been officially chosen by the United Nations Environmental Programme to play the host for World Environment day. She also added that the World Environment Day 2010 is immensely important as it dotes upon the theme of “OneSpecies, One Planet and One Future” that aims to make earth a peaceful habitat where both man and animal can reside peacefully. Anette Tamara Mbabazi also declared that 2010 is the international year of bio diversity and hence the Republic of Rwanda shall take special care so as to make sure that no harm is caused to the biodiversity products.
