Flower exhibition in Chennai wows visitors

CHENNAI - A grand flower show is held here showcasing different varieties of flowers.

More than fifty varieties of flowers from India and over 150 varieties of flowers from other countries were displayed at the exhibition.

“The flower show is very good to see and have a very good opportunities for myself. They have arranged flowers in various forms like aeroplane, peacock and beautiful colours. Moreover, this is a very original one and summer time is very useful especially for children and for myself and for other also. I think I am very happy to be here because this is a good opportunity for me to see all the flowers at one place and anyone can come here and enjoy this flower show,” said Gomathi, a visitor to the flower show.

Among the flowers on display were Tulips, Nishantas, Carnations, wax flowers and Asiatic.

The flowers were arranged in the shape of an aeroplane, a teddy bear, a mountain and flower dolls, which were the main attraction at the show.

“The flower show is very important for the people in Chennai. Normally, people go out of station to visit the flowers as it is hot in Chennai. But, for the first time, we are providing this opportunity to the people to visit and see different kinds of flowers and it gives them enjoyment when they visit these flowers. It looks beautiful so we are providing very good opportunity to visit these flowers at the same place,” said Vidhya, an organiser of the flower show.

The exhibition is open to the public free of cost. The show also serves as a forum for prospective customers and flower lovers from different parts of the state. (ANI)
