NEW DELHI - The Government on Tuesday said the intelligence inputs have indicated that CPI (Maoist) cadres could be collecting funds by imposing levies through coercive means.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Ajay Maken, in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha stated: Intelligence inputs indicate that CPI (Maoist) cadres are raising funds from contractors, businessmen, etc. by imposing levies through coercive means.”

“There is no input to indicate that certain corporate houses settle corporate rivalries in connivance with Maoists,” he further stated in the reply. (ANI)
