CHATRA - Suspected Maoists killed two employees of a private transport company in Jharkhand’s Chatra District on Friday.

Two employees of the Rungta Transport Company which was engaged in transporting coal in the district were shot dead by members of a Maoist backed organization, Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad.

The organization reportedly killed employees, as the company has not taken permission from the Maoist outfit to carry out their activities.

“They dragged him out and asked him which company he works for. When he named the company he asked his men to kill him. They then asked another worker the same thing and when he told the name of the company they shot him too,” said Sikander Prajapati, an employee of the Rungta transport company.

The Maoists organization also left a notice saying that any private run company whosoever wants to do business they will have to first take their permission from them before setting up their shop in the area or else they will have to face the consequences.

In New Delhi, during the meeting of MPs of 33 worst Naxal Affected Districts, some members dragged the attention of Union Home Ministry over extortion racket run by the Maoists in their respective districts. (ANI)
