Nagpur, Apr 30 (ANI): Residents of Nagpur depend on tankers for water supply as the region is facing acute water shortage as all the wells in the city have dried up as temperature has risen to 44 degrees Celsius.

Shekhar Sawarbandhe, Deputy Mayor, said that over 200 tankers are going round the city to meet the water needs.

“There is a lot of water problem in the city but if we compare Nagpur with other cities, there is good amount of water in Nagpur. We are providing water to people daily. In some areas there is not enough water. The main problem in front of us is that we are not able to distribute the water we have equally,” Sawarbandhe added.

He also said that the administration is planning to increase the umber of tankers in the city

People complain that tankers sent are not able to meet the demand for water. They want the administration to take appropriate measures to improve the situation. (ANI)
