208 soldiers killed in anti-terror operations

NEW DELHI - Two hundred and eight Indian Army personnel have been killed in anti-terror operations since 2007, parliament was informed Monday.

In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Defence Minister A.K. Antony said 83 army personnel were killed in 2007, while 64 had lost their lives in 2008.

The casualty figure further dropped to 48 in 2009, while 13 lost their lives in the first four months of 2010, the minister added.
