Tourists flock to Manali to beat the heat

MANALI - School holidays along with soaring mercury across the country have brought thousands of tourists to hill town of Manali.
The presence of snow during all seasons is the main attraction of Manali for a country like India, where most parts are hot, with temperatures above 40 degree Celsius.
“We are from Mumbai and we are enjoying Manali a lot. It is a very cool place and tourists rush here because it is very cool place as compared to others. We have visited many places like Rohtang Pass, Snow Point and various other points, and we love this place,” said Anitesh, a tourist.
Many schools are already closed for summer vacation with rising heat and that has seen all kinds of tourists, young and old, making for Manali and other hill towns.
” We have seen foreign tourists, student groups and families. Also the weather of Manali has its own charm and I believe people are enjoying snowfall,” said Himanshu, a local tourism expert.
Manali is emerging as an all-season tourist destination as it offers captivating scenic beauty along with snow and various snow sports and adventure sports, like paragliding, white-water rafting, trekking, mountain biking and camping. (ANI)
