PATAN - Acute water shortage in Gujarat’s Patan District has created a lot of problems for local villagers.

The drinking of water, bathing and washing clothes is now a luxury in these parts.

Even animals have been affected by the water shortage, the villagers said.

They claimed that a water pipeline in the area has not been working for the past one month.

“The problem of water is very much here, we are facing a lot of problems. The water pipeline is not working for a month. Water from tankers sometimes comes and sometimes it doesn’t. The village has 5000 people and only one tank comes,” claimed Sunil Patel, a villager.

“Women start fighting with each other because of water shortage. So, the situation here is bad,” he added.

Residents complained that nothing has been done to rectify their woes. (ANI)
