Noted Marathi writer dies

MUMBAI - Eminent Marathi litterateur M.V. Rajadhyaksha died here Monday evening, a close friend said. He was 97.

A former college professor, Rajadhyaksha is survived by his wife Vijaya, also a professor, daughter Radha, who is a senior journalist with the Times of India, and son, Niranjan, who works with the Hindustan Times.

His last rites were held in the evening.
