NEW DELHI - With opposition members continuing to voice their demand for the sacking of Minister of State for External Affairs, Shashi Tharoor, the Lok Sabha was adjourned till Monday.

As the Lower House assembled for its post lunch session on Friday, opposition members trooped into the Well shouting slogans.

They demanded a statement from the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh.

Earlier, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pavan Kumar Bansal requested members to allow the House to commence business, but the request fell on deaf ears.

This forced Deputy Speaker Karia Mund to adjourn proceedings. (ANI)
