The arrest took place on Thursday late night.
Siddique Allahbaksh, is a witness in the Naroda Patiya massacre case, in which over 100 people were killed.
On March 26, Allahbaksh was allegedly threatened by five persons, when he was driving his auto rickshaw.
He was asked to retract his statement in which he had identified former minister Maya Kodnani as an accused in the case.
“Five people sent by Maya Kodnani stopped me while I was on my auto. Then they asked the passengers to vacate. Later they took me to a secluded spot and said that I should not depose against Maya Kodnani or they will kill my family,” Allahbaksh said.
