BMW kills a senior citizen in Delhi

NEW DELHI - A speeding BMW driver ran over a 62-year-old near the Akshardham Temple in East Delhi on Thursday morning.
According to police, Om Dutt Chauhan was taking a morning walk near the Akshardham Temple when the BMW, which was trying to overtake a bike, hit him at 6:30 a.m.
The car overturned following the impact.
Police have arrested the three persons, who were traveling in the car.
Chauhan’s family alleged that he was not given immediate medical assistance.
He could have been saved if police had taken him to hospital in time, they added.
Several people gathered at the spot soon after the accident and staged a protest against the alleged police negligence.
Some of the angry protestors damaged the car.
Senior police officials have visited the spot and an investigation has been ordered. (ANI)
