Nepal’s ‘living goddess’ plans to invest in financial sector

KATHMANDU - Nepal’s ‘living goddess’ or the Kumari of Patan has expressed a desire to invest in the financial sector.
According to eKantipur.com, the 15-year-old ‘living goddess’, who appeared in School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exams this year, said she wishes to pursue further studies in faculty management.
Talking to reporters, the Kumari of Patan said her examinations were good, adding that she had performed exceptionally well in accounts.
She is the first Kumari to appear in SLC exams and hopes to pass it with distinction.
The Kumari of Patan said she found it difficult to write and read in Nepali, adding that English and accounts are her favourite subjects.
She has decided to learn computer and Newari scripts after the SLC exams.
The Kumari of Patan considers her teacher Binod Kumar Shrestha as her lucky mascot, as he taught her voluntarily for six months.
Her mother Champa said she would allow her daughter to pursue further studies. (ANI)
