PANDIA PALLI - The family members of the two Special Operations Group (SOG) personnel, who went missing after the Maoists attack in Orissa’s Malkangiri District, prayed for their safety on Monday.

In Sonepur District’s Pandia Palli village, the family members of Bibhisan Sahu, one of the SOG personnel missing since the incident, hoped the government would take necessary steps to trace him.

“I wish my brother is alive, whereever he is, he should be fine. I request the government to look for my brother,” said Bibhisan Sahu’s brother Pankaj Sahu.

Around nine SOG personnel were killed in Govindapalli village in Orissa’s Malkangiri District, when the rebels blew up a bus carrying them.

The Maoists triggered off the blast as Union Home Minister P Chidambaram visited Lalgarh village in West Midnapore district on Sunday to take stock of the anti-Maoist operations there. (ANI)
