New York, March 26 (ANI): Sarah Palin’s travelogue series about Alaska has landed at the TLC network.
Network owner Discovery Communications has announced that it had acquired rights to the eight-part series - called ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska’ - about her home state.
The series is being produced by Mark Burnett, who is famous for his involvement in the hit TV reality show ‘Survivor.’
TLC said that the series tells stories of some of Alaska’s unique features as seen through the eyes of its former governor.
Discovery is said to have won a competition for the series with the A and E Networks.
There is no immediate word on when it will premiere.
TLC did not disclose the terms of the Palin deal.
“TLC is grounded in great storytelling, strong characters and passionate audiences drawn to extraordinary people doing extraordinary things,” the New York Post quoted Eileen O’Neill, president and general manager of TLC as saying in a statement.
“We are confident ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska’ will be another compelling television event,” Eileen added. (ANI)
