SRINAGAR - Inspector General of Border Security Force (BSF), Baljit Singh, on Tuesday said that while regular infiltration bids are being attempted from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, security forces are vigilant enough to foil them.

“The other side is desperately trying hard to infiltrate some people because situation, as far as the security situation is concerned in the Valley, is absolutely coming to normal and the infiltration bids are being done,” Singh told reporters in Srinagar.

“But forces one whether it is the army, BSF, CRPF and J-K police, we are all alert and we have filed so many cases and there are so many bids. I don’t think they have been able to succeed,” Singh added.

Pakistan has consistently denied its involvement in abetting the anti-India insurgency that has killed more than 47,000 people since 1989.

However, Indian officials say that Pakistan constantly aids insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir.
