DAVENPORT, LOWA (GaeaTimes.com) — How did Billy Marolf celebrate his 30th birthday, is a question, even unanswered by the medical science. Sometimes life plays miracle that goes beyond our horse sense. The Davenport man, is a miracle by himself.
On Saturday, 100 people gathered in the 30th birthday celebration party of Billy Marolf. The party was organized at American Legion in Davenport.
Billy Marolf is a victim of an unknown disease, that is accounted for his abnormal brain condition. He can neither talk nor walk.
Billy was never expected to live this long. Billy’s mom, Marlene Marolf believes that it’s the power of blessings, love and support that have made it possible for Billy.
The Davenport man lost his father, Al Marolf, 10 years ago. Marlene had reared up Billy with great care and affection. She knows that life can be taken away at any time, so she tries her level best to make every moment of Billy’s life happy and filled with love. Marlene knows the pain of losing a child, as her another son Max Tague, was killed in an accident in June 1999.
Billy’s 30th birthday was celebrated great enthusiasm. There was many well wishers with cake, cards, gifts waiting for Billy. They all greeted Billy as he was wheeled into the room. In addition to family and friends, this party was attended by dozens of caregivers, doctors, nurses, teachers, bus drivers, social workers and aides whose love has helped keep Billy alive.
We wish Billy a “Happy Birthday”. May God bless him.
