Luxury trains being monitored closely in Rajasthan

JODHPUR - After the Union Home Ministry issued an alert against a possible terror attack on the luxury train ‘Palace on Wheels’, the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation has beefed up security for the train.
The alert came after the arrested Indian Mujahideen militant reveled a possible attack on the train.
“The security on luxury trains has been beefed up after Uttar Pradesh Police arrested Salman Ahmed or Chotu, a member of Indian Mujahideen. He revealed to me that there is possibility of attack on the train,” said S. Parimala Satyamani, Deputy Superintendent of Railway Police Force.
Security of other luxury trains has also been increased. The train, along with other luxury train Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, is being rigorously screened at every halt.
Extra security personnel have been deployed on the train to ensure safety of the passengers.
“In all, 40 extra security personnel of Central Reserve Police Force, Railway Police Force, Central Investigation Department inspectors and police inspectors have been deployed on the trains, to ensure the safety of passengers,” Satyamani said.
“Right now there are 29 foreign tourists on the train, and two domestic tourists. They have gone to see the city, we will take care of the train, till it leaves this station,” he added. (ANI)
