NEW DELHI - A group of women protested outside the parliament complex on Monday evening against the ruckus caused by some political parties against the tabling of Women’s Reservation Bill in the Parliament.
The UPA Government has tried to introduce the Bill on the occasion of International Women’s Day celebration.
The protestors also blocked traffic near Vijay Chowk for some time.
They demanded the immediate adoption of the Bill.
Interacting with media Brinda Karat said her party is with the government in adopting the Bill in parliament.
“The CPM will support the Government to get the bill passed in the parliament,” Karat said.
Meanwhile, a political blame game has started between the opposition and ruling combine, as the BJP and CPM blaming the Government for not making enough home work to table the bill.
On the other hand the Congress blamed Bahujan Samaj Party, Rahstriya Janata Dal and Samajawadi Party for the problem. (ANI)
