NEW YORK - US President Barack Obama is set to appear as a special guest on popular crime TV show ‘America’s Most Wanted’.
The president is said to have had a tete-a-tete about his anti-crime initiatives with host John Walsh to mark the show’s 1000th episode, according to Fox.
Obama is also believed to have assured Walsh, whose six-year-old son Adam was abducted and murdered in 1981, of funding for the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act, the New York Daily News reported.
The president apparently also touched on his administration’s anti-crime programs, including the 4 billion dollar Recovery Act funds meant to improve state and local law enforcement capabilities as part of the discussion.
“America’s Most Wanted” has helped nab more than 1,100 fugitives and brought 43 missing kids home to their families in its 22-year history. (ANI)
