KOLKATA - Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Murli Manohar Joshi on Thursday said that no political party is untouchable in politics and his party didn’t believe in the untouchable-concept.

Replying to a question whether BJP and the Left parties would jointly agitate on the price hike issues here, Mr. Joshi said BJP would welcome every political party to join.

He said the Left parties and BJP were jointly agitating on the price hike issue in the Parliament.

Speaking about the recently General Budget, Mr. Joshi said it was anti-people, anti- farmers and anti-development.

The budget had also made the Finance Minister Pranab Mukherrjee’s danseuse daughter Sarmistha Mukherjee unhappy.

Sarmistha reportedly had sent a letter to Mukherjee asking him to exempt artistes like herself from income tax and instead tax up to 95 percent of the income of eve-teasers. By Shanka Ghosh ANI)
