LAHORE - Perturbed over the deteriorating law and order situation in the country, the US government has decided to form a ‘Quick Reaction Force’ (QRF) to provide protection to its diplomats in Pakistan.

According to private television channel, the US Congress has been requested to allocate 22.9 million dollars for the formation of the elite security force.

The QRF will facilitate the regional security officer in protecting the embassy and consulate compounds from terrorist attacks by providing a special agent to the officer, who will be in charge of the security, The Daily Times reports.

Apart from providing tactical, medical and emergency assistance at the American embassy, the force would also be responsible for providing security to the US personnel outside the compounds as well. (ANI)
