NEW DELHI - Delhi Police will receive nearly Rs.16 crore next fiscal than this year, in the 2010-11 budget presented by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee Friday.

The force has been given Rs.125.20 crore for plan expenditure and Rs.2,833.93 crore for non-plan expenditure. Last year, the plan and non-plan expenditures were Rs. 106.95 crore and Rs.2,868 crore respectively.

A senior Delhi Police official, however, said: “Last year we had to pay nearly Rs. 325 crore in arrears following the Sixth Pay Commission. This year we do not have to pay this, so we see it as a hike of Rs. 300 crore.
