Fire in Delhi shoe factory

NEW DELHI - A major fire broke out in a shoe factory located at Udhyog Vihar in Peeragarhi here today.

The blaze was reported from the factory at around 5:20 am.

Thirty-two fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire.

R C Sharma, director of Delhi Fire Service, said that since the factory was filled with plastic, it took some time to bring down the fire.

He, however, added that the situation is now under control.

No casualty has been reported. The cause of the fire is being ascertained. (ANI)
