JAMMU - People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday said there is total misgovernance and anarchy in Jammu and Kashmir under the National Conference (NC) regime. She also claimed that the State Government has created a counter stone pelting force.
Addressing media after walking out of the State Assembly in protest against the failure to protect human rights in the Kashmir Valley and over the killing of a 11 day old infant in stone pelting in Baramulla on Monday, Mehbooba said, “I mean some miscreants go into a sumo and kill an 11-day-old child. Who is responsible? Where is law, where is law and order in the state.”
“There is total anarchy they don’t have control over anything. The only thing they can do is blame the opposition. I mean there is total misgovernance,” Mehbooba added.
“There is counter insurgency force but this government has created a counter stone pelting force which may be, there are allegations they have used yesterday to bring home some point and put you know just to make their allegations sound very true and I think that’s very unfortunate. We don’t want anymore Mumm kal and Papa kistawari (counter insurgency militants),” she said.
An 11-day-old baby died after he fell from its mother’s lap. The child was being taken to a hospital in North Kashmir when the vehicle in which he was being taken was blocked by a mob.
The incident took place at Chalkoo, around 50 kilometers north of Srinagar. By Tahir Nadeem Khan (ANI)
